The success of clipper thanks to licensing

The Clipper brand, from the Spanish multinational Flamagas, was born in Barcelona in 1971. From the outset, the company proved its ability to get involved, focusing on innovation without ever compromising its high quality standards.
Clipper is a pioneer in the world of lighters, having been the first brand to develop the revolutionary concept of the refillable plastic lighter.
It soon became a leader in the production of lighters with an iconic design and is increasingly loved, especially by young people.

In addition to their captivating aesthetics, Clipper lighters also stand out for their quality, guaranteeing total safety and compliance with the most rigorous EU standards, and containing cleaner and safer gas compared to lighters from competing brands. In Italy, thanks to a strategic mix of distribution, marketing, and communication, ITAGENCY has led Clipper to hold a position of absolute market leadership. One of the aspects that has contributed most to the brand's success is undoubtedly the building of a social community that counts hundreds of thousands of Clipper enthusiasts. ITAGENCY, the exclusive distributor of the brand in Italy, decided to believe in and invest in marketing to communicate Clipper not as a simple lighter but as a true collector's item, special souvenir, and status symbol.

For this reason, in 2015, the company began to exploit licensing, a commercial agreement that allows the granting of trademark usage rights to third parties, in this case to Clipper.

The first licensing agreement, the result of a collaboration with Machete, a hip hop crew and artistic collective, proved to be a great success among collectors throughout Italy and sold out in a short time.

From that moment on, the brand's ability to forge collaborations with other brands, artists, and designers became a fundamental lever for expanding, diversifying its offering, and keeping up with trends.

Among the most beloved licensed Clipper collections in Italy, we remember Machete, Vasco Rossi, Lupin, Diabolik, and Mediaset. These collaborations have undoubtedly made the history of Clipper Italia, and now we just have to wait for the release of some of the most anticipated licenses of this 2025: Lady Oscar, Lupin III, Holly & Benji, la Gazzetta dello Sport, and many others.
